A Simple Song is an oratorio (or mini-musical) written for live theater and produced four times over four decades at Delphian. The plot follows five souls from another time and place. Binne, Bonne, Benne, Bone, and Bune know only how to sing but never learned to talk.

This creative approach to cinema was made under COVID-protocols the Delphian Theater Department has never before faced. Our student actors, director, and producer were faced with the ultimate filmmaking paradox: how to capture intimate moments while still maintaining distance. It may interest you to know that all the inside shots were captured with just one actor in a room.

We hope you enjoy this student-made film.
